The content of this book is pure fiction without any ifs or buts. The construction of an exclusive “black and white thinking” and an ideology that exists as a result is as simplistic as it is deliberately exaggerated. Many other aspects play a role in forming opinions. Unfortunately, however, it is often unclear to many what “populism” actually means, for example, and inflationary terms used in discussions have negative connotations as a fighting term. This makes it completely impossible to encourage reflection. In the book, the “black and white ideology” really only plays a role as an aid, as a narrative thread to create a nice conspiracy in the first place. The only reason for this is to keep question marks hovering over people’s heads.
“So that no reader has to live with a question mark hanging over their head, here is my interpretation with a factual basis”
In many countries, movements and politicians who divide, lie and manipulate with simplistic black and white patterns have become increasingly prevalent in recent years and are probably very successful as a result. Surprisingly, yesterday’s attitudes are often spread using the latest techniques and methods and – there is no other way to put it – these methods are used to change attitudes and radicalize existing opinions to the extreme. I will show below that no one is currently playing the keyboard of the latest information technologies as well as the disseminators of black and white attitudes.
I will show detailed examples, present the same patterns and attempt to find one of many explanations as to why, in an increasingly complex world, anachronistic black and white thinking is so exponentially widespread and successful.
In a way, it is relatively surprising that the same thing is happening everywhere. Is the conspiracy real? Deficits in democracy? Spirit of the times? Or is it the binary-coded basis of our information technology-based modern society? Let’s find out.
Despite all this, what you read here is not exclusive. The problem described is – like many things in life – extremely complex and there are several plausible explanations. It is absolutely necessary to continue researching at this point, to put forward hypotheses, discard them and start again from the beginning. Ultimately, any change first requires a comprehensive understanding of the situation.
To explore the problem further, I recommend: “Demokratiedämmerung” by Veith Selk & “Schwarz. White. Think!” by Kevin Dutton and Ursula Pesch.
